When you send me your birth date, exact time and city, the first thing I do is cast the chart the original way - using whole-sign houses, where each of the twelve signs is one clean house, exactly as astrologers worked before the modern quadrant systems muddied the picture. It gives the reading a consistent framework for exploring the different areas of your life.

From there I find your Ascendant - your rising sign - because that one point sets the whole frame: it decides which sign rules which area of your life, and which planet is quietly running the show as ruler of your chart. Then I place the seven traditional planets by sign, house and degree, and I read their condition: which sit in their own home, which are exalted and strong, which are in fall or exile and struggling, and how they see each other by the classical aspects. Most apps skip this entirely - they’ll tell you a planet is ‘in Leo’ but never whether it’s dignified or wounded there, which is the whole difference between a gift and a lifelong sore spot.

I write all of it back in plain, warm language, and I keep the two halves labelled the whole way through: what is measured from the sky, and what is my interpretation of it. You always know which is which. You can consider the interpretation for yourself.

Then I translate each into its classical correspondences: the metal it rules, its colors, its stones, its day of the week and its planetary hour. These aren’t invented - they run back through centuries of traditional practice, the same tables the old astrologers used.

I start from your actual chart and the actual sky. First I find the planet that governs what you're asking for - Venus for love and receiving, Jupiter for opportunity and money, Mercury for work, words and being seen, Saturn for endings and boundaries. Then I read how that planet sits in your chart, its sign, house and condition, so the practice is keyed to your version of it rather than a textbook one.

Then the timing, which is the part almost nobody does properly. I find the planet's own day and its planetary hour, check the Moon's phase and sign, and look for a real transit or profection already on theme for you. You get a specific window with dates and times, not "sometime soon."
